Trapping and raising animals for their fur is ok as long as it is not done in a cruel way. We as humans have dominion over animals; we use their skin for protection and their meat for nutrition. It is only bad when the animals are treated poorly or over-hunted to the point where they become an endangered species. Otherwise, it is simply a part of the circle of life for us to use animals for our needs.
There is not a foul-proof process for making fibres and/or fabric; either way there is a risk or loss of some sort. Using manufactured fibres instead of natural fibres contributes to pollution since they use chemicals in the process. Also, over the past two years researchers have noticed microfibres showing up in our oceans and in our fish. Researchers believe that when we wash our clothes the microfibres are flushed through our water systems and eventually end up in the ocean.

Animal activists have demonised people who wear animal fur or skin. Activists see people who wear animal skin or fur see as shallow, or insensitive; but the bottom line is we as humans need good clothing to lead a healthy life. Animal activists should just not wear animal furs instead of forcing their opinions on others. Animal activists have even went as far to set animals free from their farm, which is not smart because the animals will end up dying as they cannot survive the wild a lot of times.
